I think that I'm just going to stop titling these post's because I'm going to be posting a lot more pictures of food. But here's a new one.

South African Milk Tart:

South African Milk Tart:
INGREDIENTS-
- 1 9-in. pie crust
- 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 cup cake flour (or if you don't have cake flour, substitute all-purpose flour for it, using 1 cup minus 2 Tbsp.)
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 cups milk
- 3 egg whites
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- In a large bowl, mix butter and sugar until smooth. Add egg yolks and beat until light and fluffy. Sift in cake flour, baking powder, and salt and stir. Mix in vanilla and milk.
- In a separate bowl, whip egg whites to stiff peaks using an electric mixer. Fold into the batter. Pour into pie crust and top with cinnamon and sugar. Bake for 25 minutes, then reduce oven to 325F. Continue to bake for 25 minutes.
