
Amish Church Spread:
Yields: 2 Cups
INGREDIENTS-
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. corn syrup
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup marshmallow cream
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- In a medium saucepan over high heat, combine sugar, water and butter and bring to a boil.
- stir in corn syrup, reduce heat to low and simmer 1 to 2 minutes; remove from heat.
- Add peanut butter, marshmallow creme, and vanilla and stir until blended. Store in a container in refrigerator.

Navajo Fry Bread:
INGREDIENTS-
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. powdered milk
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 cup water
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Sift flour, powdered milk, salt, and baking powder into bowl. Add water and stir until a large lump forms. Using hands, mix dough, but avoid kneading. Cut dough into 4 pieces. Using floured hands, shape and stretch the dough to form a disc, about 5-7 inches in diameter. In a deep heavy pot or large skillet, heat vegetable oil to 350F. Gently place dough into the oil and fry for 3-4 minutes each side. Place bread on a paper towel.
