So I don't really know what's up with Daniel lately. It's stupid. He hasn't talked to me since the night that I walked away from our little make-out session. Well. I guess that it's a little understandable why he would be irritated by that, but I'm irritated because he hasn't even tried talking to me at all. That was yesterday night. It's Saturday night now. After I walked away from him I got into his car and waited for a few minutes until he finally got in himself. It had been quiet the whole ride home, aside from the background music coming from the radio.
He never texted me last night, and hasn't at all today.
Whatever, I'm just going to get ready for Elijah's Halloween party. That should be fun.

I'm at Elijah's house wearing my cute Red Riding Hood costume. He's wearing his Robin Hood costume, and everyone else is dressed in various outfits. Alicia is dressed in a very elaborate Cinderella costume, with a wig and everything. It's great. I tried to bring Mariah along, but she wouldn't come.
"So was it planned that both of you would be some sort of hooded character?" Katie say's to me and Elijah, who is dressed as a sexy sailor.
"I wish." Both of us say in unison.
"You both even talk at the same time." Alicia laughs. "Now I know for sure that you two were meant to be together."
I feel heat rise up my neck to my cheeks and try to laugh off the embarrassment. I look over at Elijah and he has also turned away, laughing.
After a while we get tired of just talking so we put in a movie. Its Edward Scissor Hands. I love this movie, but as it goes one my immature friends start throwing out comments of "Why would they do that?" or "That clearly isn't possible" and I'm about to say to them, no duh, when Elijah sits down next to me on the couch.
"Are you liking the movie?" I ask.
"You know, I've honestly never seen this before, but its interesting, I'll give it that."
"Come on, you just have to give it a chance."
"Okay, maybe I will." He smiles.
After a few minutes, Eli turns to our friend, Jake, who's sitting next to him and begin's whispering. I am very curious as to what they are whispering about, but decide against trying to listen in. After a moment or two, Eli stretches his arm around me. I look down at his arm, then over at him, and back to the arm, and back to the movie. He's done this before, but he's never actually kept it there, and I want him to. It feels good with him here, and I don't exactly know what to make of these feelings. Now I am too scared to move for fear of him taking it away. Now, for the moment, Daniel is out of my thoughts.
Now, out of nowhere, Eli starts rubbing my arm with his thumb, tracing circles around and around. I am pretty sure that my face is bright red right now. My whole body is tense, his touch sending tingles down my spine.
"You okay over there, Sam?" Our friend, Josh laughs.
All I can do is nod in reply.
I can't tell you why, I don't understand myself, but all of the sudden I am feeling nervous around Elijah. I never get nervous around him. What is this? I usually get nervous around Jeremie, because, well, he's hot. Not that Elijah isn't hot, because he is, but we've just been friends for so long I've never thought about him this way. What's going on? I don't understand. But, I have to say that I am quite enjoying it. It is pretty nice.
"So have you asked anyone to the Sadie's dance yet?" Elijah breathes in my ear.
"Um, no. I haven't put much thought into it yet." What is he saying? "Have you been asked yet?"
"Nope. Girls have all been wanting to ask me, but clearly they are too intimidated by this." He gestures down his body with his free hand.
I roll my eyes. "So that's what you think they're saying about you?" I laugh.
"Not think, know."
"Oh, I see. Know."
"Yep." He smiles. "So, just saying, this," he gestures again, "is open for offers. You can put yours in before it's too late."
"Okay." I laugh.
Wait. Does he want me to ask him to Sadie's? I think he does. Oh my gosh. I honestly hadn't thought, or even considered going before now. But he is just throwing boulders of hints out there, what am I supposed to do?"
"So is that you putting in an offer?"
"No. There is planning involved in it. And you don't even know if I'm going to ask you or not. I'm just going to keep you guessing."
"That's mean." He breaths in a fake sigh.
"I know." I say simply. And that that. For the rest of the night we just watch Halloween movies until we are all dozing off. I feel my eyes close, my head fall on Eli's shoulder, and his arm tighten slightly around me. Tonight was a good night.
