CHAPTER NINE

The next morning I awoke to loud knocks on my door. I groggily pulled the covers off of me and set my feet on the ground, and slowly walked to the loud door.
When I opened it my father stood their with a terrified look in his eyes.
"Daddy?" I said, slowly stepping out of my room.
He didn't say anything. "Daddy?" I said again.
"Come, yeh need to see yer mam."
"What's wrong?" I said, grabbing my coat and shoes and following him to the elevator.
Again, he didn't reply.
"Dad? Is mom alright?"
"Yeh just need to see her. I- I can't explain for meself." And then we were in the elevator, rushing to the hospital.
