CHAPTER SEVEN
I walked out of my parents room once more. When I first saw mom close her eyes though it looked like she had, well you know. So I called my dad and when he came in the first thing that he did, that I didn't even think of doing, was felt her pulse. At that point we decided to take mom to the hospital as soon as possible. It doesn't make any sence for her to be in a hotel room where no one can take proper care of her.
I walked pressed the down button of the elevator and walked in when it opened. It only went down one floor before it stopped for someone else.
When the doors opened I saw Conner. My face lit up, his as well, but then I felt like I needed to explain so many things to him.
"I'm so sorry that I-"
He cut me off. "Were yeh taken care of yer mam?"
"Yes."
"Then theres no need for explainin. I understand that yeh just want her to be okay."
"Yes, I guess that's true."
He looked at me for a second then said, "Anna, I need to show yeh somethin'."Then when the doors opened he took my hand, led me out of the hotel, and out onto the street.
Conner walked over to a car and opened the door for me. And as I got in he shut in and ran around the other side opening his door. When he got in I looked at him and said, "So where are you taking me?"
"I can't tell yeh. It'll ruin the surprise."
I smiled at him. Good thing I love surprises.
When he turned on the egnition I could see that it was starting to rain. And I was happy about that because I love the rain. I said out loud, "I love the rain. It's one of my favorite things."
He smiled at me then said, "That's good that you love the rain. Or else you wouldn't fit in very well here in Scotland."
I laughed. "Yup. That is a very good thing that I love the rain."
After that neither of us said anything. Don't you hate it when both people can't figure out what to say next to continue the conversation and in get's awkward? I do.
Soon though Conner turned on the radio, and it was I'm a Cukoo. I started to sing along to it, and so did Conner. Then Conner looked at me and said, "You've got a really good voice."
I smiled. "No I don't.'
"Yes yeh do Anna."
"Well thanks. Your sweet."
Conner looked at me for a seconed and then said, "Anna, I've got to show you something." He started to pull out of the hotel parkinglot and turned onto the street. After about fifteen minutes of driving though Conner pulled to the side of the road, and cut the engine. I looked out the window and saw several houses that looked almost like little cottages.
I finally said after a minute or so, "Where are we?"
"We're at me home." He did a slight simle, then opened his door, then ran around to open my side. When I got out he grabed my hand and led me to his home.

Anna
CHAPTER SIX
When I woke up the next morning I had to force myself to get out of bed. When I finally did I knocked on my parents door. Dad answered (of course) and opened the door wider to let me through.
The look on my mothers face was dreadful. It was a mixture of sadness and pain. I walked over to her immediately and sat by her side.
She gently put her hand up to my face and sighed. Dad just looked at us for a minute and then said, "I'll leave you two alone for a minute."
When he left I looked back at her and said, "Mom, how long have you had cancer? Dad Say's that you've had it for too long to be able to get rid of it."
She sighed then said, "Darlin' I have had cancer for over two years now."
"What?" I said almost yelling. "Then why didn't you tell us?"
"Because," She replied calmly, "I didn't know about it until just recently."
"Well how long is just recently?"
"Before we left for here."
"You should have told us."
"No, I shouldn't have. You see, I didn't want to scare you and miss out on the beauty's that lie here in Scotland."
"But there is still one question I have. How is it that you didn't get any symptoms, when you got the cancer? Wouldn't something have happened?"
"Anna," She said, resting her hand on my arm, "God has a mysterious way of working. I think what he did was hide any symptoms for me to die."
"Well why would he do that? That's not very nice."
She laughed a little. "Anna, he doesn't want to kill me. He wants me to die. There are many people on the other side that need help and guidance. Just remember that there's always a reason for natural death. People always have a time." Mom started talking quieter. "And people always have a place. And I believe that I have full filled my mission. Which is bringing you to the world and bringing you up to a beautiful, sweet, smart woman. I love you my little rose." And with that she was gone.
